Introduction
ELock DeskSeal is a wizardbased
utility that enables you to digitally sign files of
any format.
ELock DeskSeal enables organizations? their customers and partners to sign and approve documents/files of any format electronically and securely, through the application of PKI based Digital signatures.
Lightweight application DeskSeal is very lightweight to use. The file size of the entire application is less than 2 MB.
Signed documents stored in standard format Signatures are maintained in PKCS #7 format (industry standard format for digitally
signed files).
DeskSeal does not use any proprietary formats that restrict the usability and interoperability of signed files. A file that is signed through DeskSeal can be verified through DeskSeal itself or any other utility that is P compliant. Wizards for Signing and Verification

The DeskSeal Wizards and interface have been designed to comply with Microsoft standards. e.g. No matter where your certificate resides in
the certificate store on your local machine, in a file, or on a smart card, DeskSeal enables you to select and use it to sign documents. Simultaneous listing and display of IE and Netscape Certificates
DeskSeal provides the unique ability for users to view both their IE and Netscape certificates at the time of signing, and select the certificate to sign with. Ability to view the certificate just before signing a document
When you select a certificate to sign with, you are provided with an option to view the certificate and all associated details to ascertain which certificate you are using. Signing Confirmation prior to Signing

Elock DeskSeal Web is a web based digital signature solution, which helps
organizations to leverage digital signatures for document management and workflow.
ELock
DeskSeal Web can be used as it is or can be modified and customized as per
the requirements of the customer.
The main benefit of ELock
DeskSeal Web is to provide a method where the signing
components (also the encryption and decryption) get auto downloaded to the user’s
machine from the server. This avoids any client installation on part of the user. It
provides methods for signing, encrypting and uploading these files or ability to sign
and encrypt files on the local machine itself.
